Key Interests: dispersal; detailed movement paths; mammals; automated direction-finding

I am an Assistant Professor in animal ecology at Ithaca College, a partner in Flying Fox Technologies (FFT), and the site administrator for the community. I am interested in movement ecology of mammals and how individual behaviors (movement, habitat choice) shape population- and species-level processes. FFT is developing an automated telemetry system for persistent local tracking of conventional radio-transmitters. We are deploying the prototype system at the Cornell Research Ponds, where I hope to use it to gather detailed movement path information on exploratory and dispersal movements of muskrat.
